Responsibilities

  • Work closely with developers, designers, analysts, managers in a Scrum team. 
  • Test current products and identify deficiencies.
  • Plan and coordinate testing activities, thoroughly identifying and documenting bugs.
  • Suggest solutions to identified product problems. 
  • Investigate product quality in order to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction.
  • Plan, create and manage testing documentation - checklists, test cases, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure consistent sprint execution.
  • Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement.
  • In-depth understanding of the full product development life cycle.
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer
  • Experience with testing Web applications
  • Rich experience in functional testing and test case creation 
  • Strong theoretical knowledge in Software testing 
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience with a variety of different testing techniques 
  • Experience with software QA tools and processes
  • Working knowledge of the general client-server architecture, IT-landscape, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Critical thinker, and problem-solving skills
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • English lvl B1+ - read project documentation, write test documentation, understand spoken English

Nice to have:

  • API testing experience
  • Familiarity with Automated testing (specifically in Java). Our stack: Selenium, Java, Maven, Selenide, TestNG, Allure, REST Assured
  • Experience working in remote teams
  • Experience testing mobile applications

Conditions

What we offer

  • Long-term contract with QIC
  • Payment in US dollars
  • Full-time work schedule: 5 days per week, Sunday to Thursday
  • Main work timezone GMT+3
  • Vacation policy: Qatar Holiday Calendar, 20 workdays of vacation, and 10 sick-day-offs
  • Performance reviews are conducted twice a year, with the possibility of a raise in March and September
  • In future, optional: potential of getting Qatar ID and relocation to Doha, Qatar
